PFIP Pillars

Our pillars are the teams working behind the scenes to turn our vision into a reality. These pillars align with our mission-vision to build industry-leading standards for the LGBTQ+ community while providing learning and development opportunities for queer professionals and driving cause-oriented initiatives relevant to our community. In the spirit of collaboration and volunteerism, they are led by a lead and co-lead from our member companies.

Standards

The Standards Pillar is a key component of the D&I strategy, which focuses on creating a diverse and inclusive workforce representative of the community we advocate for. They focus on best practices in policies and benefits in support of LGBTQ+ individuals, community consultative work on D&I practices, and the creation of guides and guidelines to support member companies on their journey to LGBTQ+ inclusion in the workplace.

Leadership

The Leadership Pillar is in charge of building programs focused on developing LGBTQ+ talents to build competencies based on the PFIP Leadership Development Framework. They manage and deliver the SOGIE & Business of Inclusion Module of PFIP and continuously build & certify SOGIE trainers to support our member companies.

Advocacy

The Advocacy Pillar focuses on building a sustainable corporate social responsibility program for PFIP, aligned with the PFIP H.E.L.P.S. framework. They discover, connect, and maintain a list of vetted LGBTQ+ organizations that can be tapped and supported by PFIP member firms.

Engagement

The Engagement Pillar primarily develops programs to continuously engage member companies through different socio-civic activities and events that are relevant and impactful. They also develop strategies to attract new member companies—both local and multinational.

Communications

The Communications Enablement Function Pillar guides the communication strategy and content and supports the creation of position papers or public statements if the need arises.
