Business Leaders, Advocates, Unite at Out & Equal Reception Dinner to Advance LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion

Philippine Financial & Inter-Industry Pride (PFIP) executives, LGBTQ+ icons, and special guests gathered for a special reception dinner hosted by Out & Equal, the premier organization working exclusively on LGBTQ+ workplace equality.

The event highlighted the crucial role of businesses in driving LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, especially in the face of global uncertainties.

Steven Bielinski, Director of Global Impact Programs at Out & Equal, delivered a powerful speech emphasizing the importance of sustained corporate leadership in fostering inclusive workplaces.

“We know that it’s moments like this—bringing together business leaders, advocates, and changemakers—that is so essential for advocating LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion, especially in these times of uncertainty,” Bielinski stated.

He acknowledged concerns over potential policy shifts under the new U.S. administration, recognizing their possible impact on global LGBTQ+ inclusion efforts.

However, he affirmed that progress should not be dictated by any single administration.

“We see how policy shifts can impact the progress that we’ve made, but we know that the work of inclusion doesn’t stop with any one administration,” he noted.

Bielinski also underscored the business case for inclusion, reinforcing that diversity fuels innovation, strengthens communities, and leads to better outcomes for all.

“That is why, no matter what the political landscape is, Out & Equal, along with PFIP and our other friends and partners, remain committed to equipping businesses with the tools, strategies, and networks to ensure that we can have thriving LGBTQ+ employees here in the Philippines and across the world,” he said.

The reception dinner provided a platform for business leaders to connect, strategize, and reaffirm their shared commitment to LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion.
